Born: 20 Sep 1892
Baptized: 1 Oct 1892 Ponta do Sol, Ponta do Sol, Medeira, Portugal[1]
On the first day of the month of October in the year 1892 in the Parochial Church of Our Lady of Light in the village of Ponta do Sol, county of the same name, diocese of Funchal, I solemnly baptized a female individual given the name Antónia, she born in this parish in the fourth hour of the afternoon on the twentieth day of September past, the legitimate daughter, first of her name, of José de Andrade Souto and Francisca da Luz Pitta, farmers, natives and parishioners of this parish, they received and living in the site of Adegos; the paternal grandchild of José de Andrade Souto and Maria da Silva, farmers and natives of this parish, and maternal grandchild of José Rodrigues Pitta and Maria Luisa de Jesus. The Godfather was Manuel Clementino Gonçalves, farmer, and the Godmother Antónia da Luz Pitta, married, of whom I know to be them. And for the record this was written in duplicate and assent given after reading and conferring with those present and the Godparents, who did not sign with me for lack of ability to write. What is written is true. Vice Vicar João Augusto dos Passos Souza.[1]
